And class begins...

Target Marketing

A target market is a group of customers that you or the company would want to serve and sell to. Since being in Vienna I have been targeted outside the Schönbrunn Palace by a couple of men behind a stand trying to sell tickets to a concert that would be held at the Palace later that evening. They failed at marketing the concert to me since I had other plans for the night and would most likely not return to the Palace to see the concert.

Consumer products versus business products:

A consumer product is when the item or service is sold and directly used by the consumer. Whereas a business product would be used inderectly within a company that is producing other goods or services. Some examples of products would be office supplies for businesses, or a consumer product such as in Vienna would be the tourist souvenirs which would be produced and distributed by companys that most likely had costs from business products.
